The Alpine Spring Arts and Music Festival is only 2 weeks away!  Are you ready to enjoy a cultural experience of local artisans work, as well as great musical talent?  On April 13, beginning at 10:00 a.m., there will be four food vendors, our local Mexican Food truck, La Birrieria promises to be there, as well as Quick Stop Grill, serving Mediterranean food, Just Smother It, and Kali Foods.  Local Artists will have their work on display to be judged, with a chance of winning a grand prize of $250.  We also will have local craft vendors that will have a variety of handcrafted jewelry, soaps, and Boho clothing.  If you haven’t met our local embroidery shop, My Happy Place Embroidery, the owner Trisha Bernard will be at the festival introducing her shop, services, and products.

The monthly Hot Topics Breakfast is scheduled for April 9th at Alpine Community Center.  We will be enjoying the culinary talents of Eleazar Catering, and hearing from Chris Wiley who will be introducing the East County Transitional Living Center.  Wiley is promoting their Comedy Night, an annual fundraiser to help this 501c3 with their endeavor to give people the chance they need to improve their lives.  The East County Transitional Living Center’s story began fifteen years ago in El Cajon, when a group of businessmen and a small church transformed a small motel and a whole lot of lives.  In 2018, ECTLC assisted 286 families, including over 700 children.  The ECTLC is active in the community workforce, as they assist much of Alpine in annual events.  They are an active force for the Alpine Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Parade of Lights and Snow Festival.  Please support this worthwhile cause as they change lives for the better.

Thank you to all who attended the Granite Lion Cellars Mixer on March 29.  The beautiful venue in Jamul California offers locally crafted wine.  We enjoyed the musical guitar talents of Miles Moynier as well as local catering by Keli Cadenhead and Master Grill Chef Dick Allen.  If you haven’t had a chance to visit this excellent site, it is definitely a trip to add to your calendar.  Tastings are available at the production facility. Come enjoy award-winning red and white wines, and get a taste from the barrel of what is coming. Tastings are complimentary for wine club members. We will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to dusk.  We invite you to call us for appointments with larger groups, and we will meet you there. You can find them at 2801 Jamul Highlands Road.
